Davis, reports that a preliminary statement of the first 18 months' work in the study of a practical method of community control of rickets conducted by the Children's Bureau of the U. S. The statement, contained in Secretary Davis' annual report, reads "This has been definitely demonstrated in the course of the study by X-ray photographs of the Infants' bones taken at monthly intervals. If this mild form of rickets does not progress to a more severe degree, it has no apparent effect on the infant's general health.
