Tucker passed away peacefully at home on April 3, 1996 of cancer. Her life began 71 years ago on February 18, 1925, in Philadelphia, PA. Her mother passed away during child birth and her father only two years later. This never had a negative influence on her ideals of being a good wife and raising a family. She was raised and educated through high school mostly in parochial boarding schools.

She became known as Mickle, a nickname which stuck with her throughout her life. She was small in size, but big in spirit. She met her husband Kenneth, a U.S. Marine, in Philly. They were married on Thanksgiving Day, November 18, 1945.

She held the home fort though two more wars and did it well. They and their family celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary just last year. The family first came to Carlsbad in 1958. They moved to Washington for a few years, but Carlsbad, California was always home. They moved back in 1971 and have never left.

For several years she worked for Reubens Auto Body Shop as a bookkeeper. She is survived by her family including: a loving husband, Kenneth Tucker, who cared for her until the end and honored her final wish to pass away peacefully at home; three sons and their families: Tom and Sue Tucker of Mission Viejo, CA and their two sons, Jason and Eric; Ken and Claire Tucker of Ocean Shores, WA and their daughter, Kimberley; Mike and Francis Tucker of Vista, CA and their four sons, Jessie, Billy, Kenny, and Mike. She was a loving grandmother and friend to her two oldest grandchildren by Tom and their families; Tim and Katie Tucker of Vista, CA and great-grandchildren Katelyn and Zachary; Steve and Terry Ciari of San Jose, CA and greatgrandchild Jacob. She passed away knowing that a legacy of great-grandchildren was forthcoming. She had many friends locally and a strong network of traveling friends, especially from the desert.

This memorial is for all to know her and to honor her life. Appointments 726-6451 24-Hour Info 456-EYES 456-3937 DO YOU FEB. GU1TY? HAVE YOU LOST YOUR SENSE OF SELF-ESTEEM?
