Richardson, Mrs. Douglas died Saturday in a Richardson hospital following a long illness. She was a native of Austin and lived in Richardson for four years. Mrs Douglas. 74, had lived in Irving for 20 years previous to moving to Richardson She was a mem ber of the F'lrst Christian Church here Survivors include a Oscar Douglas of Irving; a daughter.

A native of Wisconsin. he managed a car wash. He had been a Dallas resident for four years. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Holly Trepanier; a son.

The appointment of Dabbs fills the vacancy of Tom Gray who resigned as head Tiger football coach to accept a similar position with Mesquite last Wednesday. Athletic director Bob Harrell announced that' Dabbs had been awarded a three- year contract at an undisclosed sum.

Dabbs, who has been a backfield assistant for 12 years, will also relinquish his track duties in the next few weeks. The former Sweeney and Bellville coach will seeing his first action as a varsity head coach. a real challenge and a great said Dabbs. are very happy about the appointment and I hope we can continue to build up program. would like to keep all the assistants now on the staff as I think they are the best in the a said lineup the said Dabbs.
