'Miltenberger, retired Army. Colonel and member of an old St. Louis family, died of a heart attack Thursday afternoon while visiting at the home of his son, Fred Miltenberger, in Albuquerque. N. M.

Mr. Miltenberger, who was 74, served as an Army doctor from I 1907 until his retirement in 1946.1 He had been living in recent I years in Kirksville, Mo. He Was a 1907 graduate of the Marlow Sims Academy, a medical later taken over by Louis University. Copies of his family history, which he compiled over a 20-year period. are in the records of the Historical Society and the public libraries of New York City and New Orleans; La.

Mr. Miltenberger's family came to St. Louis prior to 1850. The funeral will be held at p. in.
