Lincoln terday voted to definitely drop th Fire island extension of the Ocean Parkway and the boat channel project, because of the lack of cooperation on the part of property, owners. The plan, originally, was to continue the Ocean Parkway, through the construction of a bridgo over Fire Island Inlet and then carry a causeway back to the main-land at a point beyond Fire Island. Now it is planned to construct a second causeway from the east end of Jones Beach to a point near Babylon, making a with tho present causeway on the west, the Ocean Parkway on the south and the new causeway on the east. Wil- Long Beach, L. I July 9 The police here today reported that four homes had been looted over the weekend, the most recent robberies being at the home of Ernest Kahn, 507 Lafayette Boulevard, and the home of Helen Nadel, 466 W. Chester St. On Monday afternoon $25 was taken from the Kahn home and $80 from the Nadel home. Both families had been on the beach for the day.

The police said they were the work of amateurs. On Sunday the apartment of Aaron Messinger in the Tudor Towers was entered while Messinger and his family were at the beach when a wrist watch valued at $45 was taken and $17 In cash. Late Saturday night the home of Barnet E. Kopelman at 227 W. Olive St.

wag ransacked by two men who fled when they awakened a maid asleep on the upper floor. The thieves took over $1,000 worth of Jewelry. Police said the burglars gained entrance by Jimmying a window. They made a thorough search of the house, both upstairs and down, leaving every room strewn with articles and clothing they didn't want. The maid's room was the last to be entered.
