deputy will make an official visit to Stilwell Chapter No 106 Order of Eastern Star Thursday night February 7 it was announced this week Mrs Jennie Johnson worthy matron said a banquet honoring Mrs Gray would be held at the First Methohst Chuich dining room at 630 o'clock preceding the meeting of the chapter which is scheduled for 7:30 Christian Church Group One Has Meeting Thursday Group one of the First Christian Church met in the home of Mrs Ivan Eastham Thursday afternoon January 31 The meeting opened with a devotional by Mrs Carson -4 1 i ft ''fV- Farmers Home Administration county office located at Stilwell where county supervisor George Waters is in charge Six Marriage Licenses Issued According to the records of xDannenberg court clerk six marriage licenses were issued during the last week On January 31 two marriage licenses were issued: One to Charles Allan McKnight 21 years old of Parkin Arkansas and Judith Langston 18 years old of Little Rock Aikansas Another to Bill Ilampston 21 years old and Mary Etta Summers 18 both of Rogers Arkansas Thcree marriage licenses were issued on February 2: One to William Kcaly 19 Springdale and Betty Ho-kins 16 of Fayetteville Arkansas another to Jimmie Ray Williams 24 and Joyce Ar-bucklo 14 both of Faveltjville The third license went to Douglas Fullbright Douglas 21 and Jeanne French 18 tboth of Fayetteville Donald Stephi ns 18 and Barbara McConaghic 13 both of Tulsa were issued a license on Ft bruary 4 Visiting with their parents in Stilwell last week-end were: Mr land Mrs Tommy Walkingstick and children of Merriam Kansas Quzine Walkingstick of Oklahoma City Watie a student at Haskell Institute in Lawrence Kansas and Mr and Mrs Orville Thompson of Stilwell Mr Tommy brother Ancil Carpenter of South Dakota who also attends Haskell Irjtsitute -was present Mrs Joe Guyette visited Sunday in the home of Mrs Oraa Terry 0 Mr and Mrs Wesley Boster and Kin of Zion community visited with Mrs Roster's parents Mr and Mrs Earnest Kelly and family of Wauhillau community Saturday night February 2 A line of ciedit now available from the Farmers Home Administration should help a good many farm owners in this area improve or build farm buildings including houses or provide water for household or farmstead use for themselves or their tenants ard Fain chairman of the Farmers Home Administration committee in Adair county said this week committee reviews applications for all loans made by the Fanners Home Administration and helps the county supervisor adapt the program to local needs Fain said a number of farmers in this area have applied for farm housing loans in the past seven months and interest thii type of is mci easing Throughout the Nation approximately 1700 loans for $1060000 have been made In addition to being a farm owner other eligibility require ments as outlined by Fain pio-vide that the applicant must have enough income from the fai or from the farm and other sources to meet family living and farm operating expeases to repay his loan and other debts on schedule Farm housing loans are repayable over periods up to 33 years at 4 per cent interest and are secuied by a mortgage on the farm Applicants get building plans and spociiications from whatever source they choose and make all arrangements for hiring the necessary labor and purchasing materials The Farmers Home Administration representative will review the plans inspect the construction as it progresses and see that it meets generally accepted standards of soundness Fain said farm owners may get further information at the Miss Virginia Lee Cox whose engagement to Mr James McCastlain of Clarendon Arkansas has been announced The wedding will be an event of Sunday April 14 at the first Methodist church in Stilwell Miss Cbx is the daughter of Mrs Bruce Cox of Stilwell and Mr McCastlain is the son of Mr and Mrs McCastlain of Clarendon Cox-McCastlain Engagement Announced Mrs Biuce Ccx announces the
