SUN-TELEGRAM July 24, 1975 Obituaries Myrtle Shefstall, San Bernardino Myrtle Mary Shefstall, 85, of 1662 Genevieve San Bernardino, died Tuesday in San Bernardino where she had lived rs. She was born in Tex. Mrs. Shefstall was retired from Harris', where she was a chef in the Cafe Madrid 25 years. She was a member and past president of American Legion Post 14 Auxiliary and of the Navy Mothers of America Chapter 211.

She was also a member of American Legion Salon 58 of San Eastern Star Silver Wave the First Bernardino, Gorgonio Chapter 17, Congregational Church. Survivors include a son, Raymond O. Powers of San Bernardino; a sister, Evelyn Draper of San Bernardino; and a grandchild. Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday in the Bobbitt Memorial Chapel followed by burial in Mountain View Cemetery.

Friends may call at the chapel after noon today. Morgan Lewis, former S.B. Morgan T. Lewis, 51, a former resident of San Bernardino, died Wednesday in Huntington Beach. He was born in New York and lived in Huntington Beach.

Lewis was a data management officer with the U.S. Air Force missile systems. He was a member of Damascus Masonic Lodge 648, the Scottish Rite Bodies and the San Bernardino Shrine Club. Survivors include his wife, Stella; two sons, Morgan T. and Curtis both of San Bernardino; a daughter, Celia A.

Wilson of Orange; and two grandsons. Memorial Masonic services will be at 4 p.m. Friday in the Bobbitt Memorial Chapel. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to the American Cancer Society. Walter Klages, Big Bear City Walter F.

Klages, 73, an eight year resident of Big Bear City, died Tuesday in a Glendale hospital. He was born in Los Angeles. Klages was a retired artist. Survivors include his wife, Olga; a daughter, Nancy Manning of Dana Point; a sister, Elizabeth Breese of Tustin; and two grandsons. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m.

Friday at Mountain View Cemetery. Grove Colonial Mortuary is in charge of arrangements. Elmer Bowers, Upland Elmer R. Bowers, 72, of 370 N. 1st Upland, died Monday in Upland.

He was a native of Ontario and a life resident of San Bernardino County. Bowers was retired from Patton State Hospital and was also employed with Webb Boys School in Claremont. Survivors include his wife, Myrtle, of San Bernardino; a son, Donald, also of San Bernardino; a sister, Edna Bowers of Upland; and two grandchildren. Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at Bellevue Cemetery in Ontario.

Stone Funeral Home in Upland is in charge of arrangements. Elsie Owen, San Bernardino Elsie Olive Owen, 81, of 1277 Stoddard San Bernardino, died Tuesday in a San Bernadino hospital. She was born in Stillwater, and lived in San Bernadino 18 years. Mrs. Owen was a member of the Veterans of World War I Barracks 193 Auxiliary, American Legion Post 14 Auxiliary, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1744 Auxiliary, A.A.R.P.

Chapter 224, the Royal Neighbors of America Camp 627 in Duluth, and the Gold Star Mothers. Survivors include her husband, Floyd. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday in the Mark B. Shaw Memorial Chapel followed by burial in Pioneer Memorial Cemetery.

Friends may call at the chapel after 10 a.m. today. Jesse Stump, Fontana Jesse H. Stump, 88, of 9113 Olive Fontana, died Wednesday in a Fontana convalescent hospital. He was born in Indiana and lived in Fontana one year.

Stump was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Fontana. Survivors include two sons, Myron, of Fontana, and Robert, Winchester, a sister, Olive Edwards, also of Winchester; seven grandchildren and two greatgrandchildren. Services and burial will be in Winchester under the direction of the Maynard and Walker Funeral Home. Memorial services will be held at 7:30 p.m. Sunday in the First Methodist Church of Fontana.

Ingold Chapel, Fontana, is in charge of local arrangements. The family suggests donations be made to the First Methodist Church youth campership fund in lieu of flowers. Service Reminders MARK B. Survivors include his wife, Margie; a daughter, Sherie, of the family home; his mother, Helen Easton of Riverside; a brother, Raymond, of Fairfield; and his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Jack Capp of Riverside.

Services were held Monday in Fairfield. Alina Swales, San Bernardino Alina D. Swales, infant daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Michael Swales of San Bernardino, died Sunday in San Bernardino.

Additional survivors include her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Robert McNerney of Fontana and Janith 1 Swales of San Bernardino. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. today in the Baby Heart Garden, Green Acres Memorial Gardens, Bloomington.

Green Acres Mortuary is in charge. Richard Graves, San Bernardino Richard Benjamin Graves, 68, of 2862 Lawrence San Bernardino, died Tuesday in San Bernardino where he had lived 60 years. He was born in Rising Star, Tex. Graves was a retired missile systems mechanic at Norton Air Force Base. He was a member of American Legion Post 421 in Highland and Del Rosa United Methodist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Rondine; a daughter, Nan M. Paige of Pleasant Hill, a son, Richard of San Bernardino; a brother, LeRoy, of Sonoma; a sister, Rachael Lloyd of San Francisco; and four grandchildren. Services will be at 9 a.m. Friday in the Bobbitt Memorial Chapel followed by burial in Montecito Memorial Park. Friends may call at the chapel after 2 p.m.

Timm had operated the Chevron Service Station at Highland and Arrowhead Avenues for several years and later the Standard Station at 40th and Mountain View prior to moving to Kailua. Survivors include his wife, Mary; a daughter Sandra Tomes; a son, John; and a grandson. A memorial service will be held Friday at the United Methodist Church, 1110 Kailua Road, Kailua, Hawaii, followed by a family ceremony at Lonikai beach. The family has requested no flowers and that memorial donations be made to the American Cancer Society, locally or in Hawaii. Jala Fairchild, former Rialto Graveside services will be held at 11:30 a.m.

today at the Rialto Park Cemetery for Jala Fairchild of 10250 Prospect Sp. 9, Santee. Mrs. Fairchild, 75, died Monday in San Bernardino. She was a native of Missouri and a former resident of Rialto.
