Hurkhead le being assisted by Attorneys I Cour-tey and Douglas County Judge Robertson Is presiding at the Inquiry All subpoenas that are being Issued command ths witnessed to appear forthwith before the court Most of the witnesses so far examined live at Park H1U or In the vicinity ofPark Hill So far it le known ths Inquiry has not developed any motive for the Pyle death This appears to strengthen the original theory that ths assassin mistook him for some one else The boy was shot In the neck with a 38 caliber platoL The curtains on the car were closely drawn and It la the opinion of officers that the assassin could not recognise the occupants of ths machine Slayer Jn Danger The developments If any are being tiosely guarded with secrecy and ta was aid today that the court would take an adjournment probably tomorrow until next week The Inquiry is being concluded ae a result of incensed public opinion growing out of the Pyle boy's death Opinion Is commonly expressed that In the event the guilty person or persons are apprehended peace officers had better take them out of the county for aafe keeping It la public sentiment here that since such a good start has been made In breaking up a gang of bank robbers who have long infested the mountain-oua part of this county that the time Is now ripe to clean the community of the lawless element Hence the organization of a body
