a a SUN-TELEGRAM Obituaries Obituaries Susie Venable, San Bernardino Apr. 22, 1977 Susie Venable, 71, of 1596 W. 9th San Bernardino, died Tuesday in San Bernardino where she resided 31 years. She was born in Halifax, Va. She was a homemaker and attended New Hope Missionary Baptist Church.

Survivors include two sons, Willie W. of San Bernardino and Paul of Pasadena; two daughters, Rosie Murrell of San Bernardino and Gertrude Jackson of Georgia, 21 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Monday in New Hope Missionary Baptist Church followed by burial in Pioneer Memorial Cemetery. Friends may call at Tillie's Memorial Chapel from 2 to 8 p.m.

Sunday. Susan A. Petta, Grand Terrace Susan Ann Petta, 21, of Grand Terrace died Thursday in Loma Linda. She was born in San Bernardino and was a life resident of Grand Terrace. She was a student at the University of California, Riverside, where she started an archery team and had belonged to the archery team at Valley College three years.

Survivors include her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Tony Petta of Grand Terrace, and her paternal grandparents, Donato and Mary Petta of Yucaipa. Services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Saturday in Emmerson-Bartlett Loma Linda Chapel where friends may call after 2 p.m.

Thompson served 10 Methodist churches in California and Arizona before retiring in 1964. He was active in Scout work and recently served an officer in the American Association of Retired Persons. He was a Mason. Survivors include his wife, Evelyn; a son, Thoburn F.of Albert Lea, a daughter, Thora Jo Jervey of Radford, and seven grandchildren. Memorial services are scheduled for 11 a.m.

Archibald Truman, Loma Linda Dr. Archibald William Truman, 93, died Wednesday in Loma Linda where he resided 22 years. He was born in Mulvane, Kan. Dr. Truman was a medical doctor and was the last living member of the original faculty of the Loma Linda University School of Medicine.

He attended the Seventh-day Adventist Church. Survivors include two sons, Archibald W. Truman Jr. of Carlsbad and Rolland A. Truman of Long Beach; three daughters, Anetta L.

McGuffin of Glendale, Violet Brayshaw of Yucaipa and Myrna C. Hamara of Tucson, a brother, Chester Truman of Colorado, 16 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
