five bowed to the Henry Street Settlement team Dec. 13 by a 3133 score on the loser's court. The lineup: For Brooklyn Tech has a can-- didate to enter into the "family contest," and the Engineers are well proud of their nominee. This latest scholastic athletic family to come to the notice of onlookers is the Waldron clan. Msyhaps the La Bornes may get the edge over the Waldrons, but the latter have something in their favor which they unleash at their argument-adversaries a sister who also is an athlete.

There are three male members of the Waldron athletic group, and one female. John Waldron played in the backfield for Rutgers University this past season. He also played football in high school. Henry was cne of the foremost athletes in Tech's history until his "kid" brother "Dutch" came along. For three successive years Henry was the leading scholastic catcher In the city.

He also played football and soccer. we have on hand the foremost pride of the Waldrons sister Clara. Clara used Richmond Hill as her medium in gaining a foothold in ports. At the Hillite institution Clara played field hockey, volley ball and basketball captaining the latter two sports. "Dutch" is probably the best known of all the Waldrons at least to followers of scholastic sports today.

He has been a consistent and outstanding player for Tech for the last four years competing In football, baseball and hockey. "Dutch" has been a backfield standby, and 1b fact a mainstay. For the last three years he has played mostly at halfback, although when the emergency required it he filled in at quarterback. During this past season "Dutch" played at quarterback. This is "Dutch's" third year on the ice for Tech, and the manner in which he handles himself demotes unusual hockey talent.

In baseball, too, "Dutch" is there with the goods. On the diamond he has followed in the footsteps of his older brother, Henry. We might mention, in passing, that "Dutch" isn't "Dutch" at home, but Francis. When this quartet of athletes are seated "round the supper table, talk naturally goes back to athletics. All four Waldrons know sports from A to Z.

Probably the easiest question to put before the older Waldrons and the female member is, as to which of the four is the better athlete. Like a shot, the answer is ready and always consistent "Francis." STARTS A THRIFT ACCOUNT Safe Deposit Boxes KINGSBORO National Bank 5th Cor. 69th St. aft I ft Henry St. Boro Park G.
