Terms of the deals were not announced. The Chargers also announced they had reached agreement with two of their draft picks wide receiver Dana Brinson ol Nebraska (eight round) and Washington linebacker Ricky Andrews (12th round) Terms of the deals were not released The Chargers have now reached agreement with three of their nine draft choices Even with the signing of Malone, the Chargers still have 11 unsigned veterans, including running backs Gary Anderson and Lionel James. Steve Ortmaver, the clubs director ol football operations, indicated earlier this week he expected to have more of the free agents signed by the first practice on Sunday afternoon. Malone, the lowest-rated quarterback in the AFC the past two seasons, was tied with Detroits Eric Hippie and Minnesota's Tommy Kramer as the lowest-paid starting quarterbacks in the NFL last season at $500,000.
