Sarah Lytle, 1606 Sixth avenue, is much improved after four months at the Altoona Hospital where she underwent surgery, having her appendix and a kidney removed. She is able to receive visitors, and has received many Christmas cards and 300 convalescent greetings, Vilma would have been a sophomore at Findlay College, Findlay, had she been able to be in college. Paul Apple and his brother Gene, 2303 Third avenue, plan to transfer to the campus of Pennsylvania State College from A after tne holidays. Shirley Adler, 1912 Logan avenue, is spending Christmas vacation at home. She is a student at 1 Wheaton College, Wheaton.

111. Alice N. Wohlbruck, 1306 Fifth avenue, is much improved at Altoona Hospital where he has had tests and a check-up. George Figaft, 207 Thirteenth street, an employe of the city water department, is seriously ill at his home and may re quire hospitalization. Louise McNelly, 873 Twentieth street, underwent surgery at Mercy Hospital and is much improved.

Dick Runyeon, son ef Mr. and Mrs. Wilford Runyeon, 207 Maple avenue, is at home jn vaca i from Pennsylvania Bible Institute, Philadelphia. Two others on vacation from the same school are Lillian Frederick and Tim Gates. The latter brought with him Mrs.

Gates and the children, Mary Lou and The Philathea Class of the Twenty-eighth Street Church of the Brethren enjoyed a Christ-mas party Thursday evening, Dec. 23, at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Otto Ziegler. Gifts were exchanged and games played.

The bride was charming in a blue suit with grey and wore a corsage of orchids. The couple was attended by Mr. and Mrs. William Hamer of Philadelphia. Mrs.

Hamer is the former Shirley Thompson, a childhood friend of the bride. She was attired 1n a brown dress with brown accessories, and wore a corsage of pink roses. After a short wedding trip, the newlyweds will reside in their apartment in Philadelphia. Mrs. Scottaline is a graduate of Roaring Spring High school, class of 1941, and of the Presbyterian Hospital school of Nursing located in Philadelphia.

The bride, attired in a grey suit with black accessories and wore a corsage of red roses, was attended by her sister, Mrs. Daisy Reed, Altoona, who wore a navy blue with matching accessories and a corsage of red rases. Mrs. Dengate is a graduate of Bellwood-Antis High school, class of 1944. The bridegroom, a veteran of World war II, is also a graduate of Bellwood-Antis High school, class of 1944.
