Every day two names picked at random from the city directory will appear among the ads. If your name appears you will receive two passes to the State theatre. You must call at the Tribune office before 5 P. M. on the day in which your name appears, and present some means of identification.

THESE PASSES GOOD FOR ADULTS ONLY! NOW SHOWING AT STATE JOHN NESBITT John Nesbitt, whose "Passing Parade" is one of radio's most famous features, shares the spotlight again tomorrow with John Charles Thomas, world renowned baritone, on the "Westinghouse Program," heard every Sunday afternoon 'over the NBC network and WFBG at 2:30 p. EWT, Nesbitt was born at Victoria, British Columbia, August 23, 1910. A grandson of Edwin Booth, famous Shakespearian actor, and son of a well-known lecturer on world topics, he inherited a flair for the dramatic. To newspaper experience he owes his crisp, concise writing and delivery. Tall, blond, good-looking, Nesbitt belies the impression he gives on the air of being an elderly gentleman working in a huge library, smoking a pipe and wearing a heavy tweed coat redolent of rich old tobacco.

But it pleases him to be pictured in this wise by his radio audience. Much of his boyhood was spent in France. He spoke only French until he was six. At that time his father was serving with the British Intelligence. Then his father became a lecturer on world topics, and it was not until the elder Nesbitt became a Unitarian minister that the fam-ily settled long in one place Alameda, California.

His formal education took place at St. Mary's college and the University of California. After he left college the stage beckoned and Nesbitt worked in dramatic stock at Vancouver and Spokane and also organized several little theatre groups. An engagement as a stage manager called him to New York. When he returned west where the show ended its tour, he went to work on a Seattle newspaper.

He quit the day he had to call up a woman and tell her her husband wag in the morgue.
