Dec. 14 (AP) In the face of opposition from producers and distributors. Fred M. Vinson refused tonight to scind a directive for a new pricing method for fresh fruits and vegetables. The new pricing m1 hod, the director of economic stabilization said, is designed to reduce prices to consumers and to "remove an ever present downward pressure on farm returns." Vinson announced he had directed the office of price administration and the war food administration to use a ceiling-over-cost method in establishing maximum prices for fresh fruits and vegeI tables.

Ira T. Fiss Slated For Another Term HARRISBURG. Dec. 14-(A) Organization of the Republican legislative majority for the 1948 assembly session was perfected today with slating of House Speaker Ira T. Fiss for another term.
