CALIFORNIA WEDNESDAY APRIL 20. 1966 RACE BARRIERS DROP Pleas changed by couple in case rustling State cities pick mayors SAN DIEGO (CNA) A 36-year old Upland woman and her 28-year-old friend changed their innocent plea to guilty of theft conspiracy in connection with unsuccessful cattle rustling attempts at Warners Ranch. Leffingwell and Richard Prior of 740 W. Spruce Upland, made then-new plea before Superior Court Judge Verne O. Warner Tuesday. Judge Warner set a probation hearing for July 6. The normal three-week period between a giilty plea and a probation hearing was extended ait Mrs.

Howard Dorch, second vice president of the Palomar District of federated womans clubs was guest speaker. She showed a film on the history of the federation and what it means to clubs, and also gave some dos and donts on operating a club. Soo Hoo, a 42-year old Chinese American, Tuesday was elected mayor of Oxnard by the City Council.
