It also stands among the leading counties of Kansas as an agricultural region, and in no countv are better and more productive farms to be found- The land fairly distributed between bottom, second bottom and upland, and the abundant growth oi timber along the many streams is an ad vantage enjoyed to such an extent by but few counties In the state. The county is located eighty -eight miles from Kansas City, due south; ninety miles southeast cf Tcpeka, and f.f ty-seven miles a thriving and growing village.
