Bouten said he was not displeased with the teams efforts against Tunder Bay, blaming jet lag for the slow start. He added that some off-the-ice developments were giving him second thoughts about continued involvement. Hocges said he anticipates several personnel changes for next season when Allan Cup play comes west and that will certainly nme up in his conventions with Bouten. MOSCOW, Idaho The University of Idaho lost two games and won one Monday in a NorPac college baseball happening with Boise State. After a Bronco protest over a hit batsman in the seventh inning of a Sunday game had gone all the way to Bowie Kuhns office, a decision was made to replay the situation in the seventh inning. Idaho had won the original version 9-8 by scoring two runs in the bottom of the seventh inning.

The Vandals werent so fortunate this time and went down to defeat 8-7. In the ensuing doubleheader, Boise State won the first game 12-8 as Mike LaVoie hit a two-run homer in the fifth inning. JSenct Ekhammer had two doubles and two RBI in the game as Idaho bounced back to take a 6-4 win. By MIKE LYNCH Spokesman-Review Sporti Writer Somewhaf shamefaced and thoroughly disgruntled, the Spokane Flyers arrived home Monday from a lost weekend in Ontario, The PTyers were defeated in three straight hockey games by the Thunder Bay Twins in a best-of-five series for the Western Canada championship. Like theii coach, Tom Hodges, most of the Flyers were still not convinced that Thunder Bay was that talented despite 7-2, 6-1 and 5-4 de-feats I dont think they would finish first over the season in our Western International League, but they all skate all the time and theyre well coached, Hodges said.

"I just wouldnt be able to pick an individual standout. The Twins did enjoy the advantage of home ice conditions, local knowledge of the oval boards in their arena and almost complete freedom from holding penalties from local officials, Coach Dave Siciliano and his club face an uncertain future now that they have reached the national champi-onship series for the Allan Cup. Barrie, defending Allan Cup champion, needs one more win in Newfoundland to eliminate St. Johns in the Eastern Canada series. However, Barrie officials, facing disciplinary action from the Canadian Amateur Hockey Association, have an nounced they are finished with the scries after two wins and one forfeiture to St.

Johns, primarily because of violence. After nearly seven months of hockey and 68 games in league and British Columbia playoff action, the Flyers have had sufficient. We played well enough to win the third game, but we never really got started and it would have been nearly impossible to win three straight on their ice the way we were struggling, Hodges said. The Flyers led most of the way in the third game but Thuncer Bay scored five goals in the final 25 minutes, the last with six seconds left in reguktion time to win it. Bouten mulling Contractor Gus Bouten, whose financial transfusion late last summer continued senior hockey in Spokane, said during Mondays air trip across Canada that he will evaluate his future association with the club this week.
