Junior Christian Endeavorers to Meet in This City To-day.

The sixth annual convention of the Blair County Junior Christian Endeavor union will be held in Grace Lutheran church this afternoon and evening. At the afternoon session there will be exercises by juniors from all parts of the county, addresses by Master Paul Potter, of Altoona, and Margaret Stryker, of Arch Springs, and by Rev. 1 larry G. Dooley, pastor of Calvary Baptist church. From 5 to 7 o'clock the juniors of Grace church will serve free lunch to the visiting juniors.

The evening programme will consist of song service, all the songs being thrown from a projecting lantern. An address, "Star Gazing," by Rev. Percival II. Lynch, of Memorial Baptist church, Altoona, and an illustrated address, "A Twelve Year Old Boy Alone in a (treat City," by G. Frank Snyder, of Lilly.

Mr. Sam B. Hare will sing. All are The "Figure Eight" at Lakemont. The most popular resort at Lakemont park this season is the "figure eight." We will not attempt a description of it.

The distance travelled is 2,200 feet and the time required to make the trip is a little more than a minute. There are ten cars, each carrying from four to six passengers, and it is a pretty sight to see the toboggan in operation. You travel on four different elevators and make the figure 8 three times. The power to operate the machinery is furnished by a thirty-horse-power electric motor. The toboggan is under the general supervision of Mr.

J. M. Shuck, who has selected a competent and careful corps of employes to look after the comfort of patrons. In visiting the park don't miss the "figure eight." You will enjoy the excitement of a trip on it. PAY-WEEK EXTRAS In Footwear of all kinds.
