Landry threw a pass good for 50 yards and a touchdown to Minnesota's Bob Grim at 5:46 in the second quarter. The conversion attempt failed. The first try by Curt Knight of Washington was good but was nullified because the NFC did not have enough men on the line of scrimmage. He tried again from five yards back but Smith got a hand on Lions. On the second, Len Dawson, the holder, said he let the ball fall by accident.
