N. Ridgely of 266 Berkely announce the engagement of their daughter, Miss Claudia Irene Ridgely, to Albert E. Winger, the wedding to take place early in June. Miss Ridgely comes from an old Maryland family, being a cousin of the former Governor Brown of Maryland and a niece of the former Comptroller of Treasury, for William B. Ridgely.

She has been active in Brooklyn society and devoted much time to studying music, being a former member of Walter Damrosch School. Mr. Winger, who is the vice president and general manager of the American Lithographic Company, is also interested in the publishing business. being treasurer of the Crowell Publishing Company and 1 P. F.

Collier Son Company. Miss Ethel Guyon Engaged To J. Kennedy Lewis. Mrs. K.

S. Guyon of 540 Manhattan Manhattan, announces the engagement of her daughter, Miss Ethel Guyon, to J. Kennedy Lewis, son of Mr. and Mrs. Milford Lewis, of Cleveland, O.

Miss Guyon formerly resided in this boro and is a graduate of Adelphi Academy. Details of Engagement Dinner of Miss Ruxton and Mr. Heppenheimer. One of the most interesting of the spring engagements that of Miss Frances Ruxton and William C. Heppenheimer which was published in these columns last Sunday.

The announcement was made Saturday evening. April 24, at a dinner given by Miss Ruxton's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Philip Ruxton, at The Chatham, E. 48th Manhattan, where Mr.

and Mrs. Ruxton and their daughter are living until their new home at 290 Park ave. is completed. They formerly made their home at 24 Remsen this boro. American Beauties decorated the table at the dinner.

Miss Ruxton was gowned in white satin with a corsage of yellow orchids tied with blue tulle and Mrs. in biack panne velvet, with a corsage of orchids. The host and hostess and their guests a dance at the Ritz-Carlton afterward. In addition to Miss Ruxton and her fiance there were in the party Gen. W.

C. Heppenheimer, Mr. and Mrs. A. Wallace Chauncey (Louise Ruxton), Miss Constance Delaney, Mr.

and Mrs. George Helm, of Boston; Miss Julia Townsend, of Wilmington, John Englis, Gerald Philbin, Watteau inspired were the frocks worn bu the bride's attendants at the Vanderbilt-Littleton wedding on Thursday. Among the bridesmaids were noticed Miss Marion Carroll, fiancee of Martin W. Littleton and Miss Katherine MacKay. Tip-tilted leghorn hats garlanded with small posies and tied coquettishly with blue ribbons; short skirted frocks of silver embroidered lace with bodices of dull pink taffeta, and baskets of spring flowers completed a picture replete with youthful, charm.

Cyril McNeer, of California, and Jack Burschman, of Manhattan. Mr. Heppenheimer, who is the son of Gen. William C. Heppenheimer, of New Jersey, is a brother of Mrs.

Robert Duff, of New York and Paris. He was graduated from Harvard last year and is a member of the Harvard Club. During the war he served as an ensign in the transport service of the U. S. N.

Miss Ruxton was active in the Motor Corps of the National League for Woman's Service, of which her sister, Mrs. Chauncey, was the captain. Miss Herrick Married to LeRoy G. Cooper. Announcement has been made of the marriage of Miss Mary A.

Herrick and Le Roy Gillette Cooper, which took place in Lakehurst, N. on April 22, the Rev. A. Moore officiating. Miss Herrick is the daughter of Mr.

and Mrs. A. Herrick, of Lakehurst. Mr. Cooper is the son of Mr.

and Mrs. William G. Cooper of the Hotel Bossert. Miss Breaker's Wedding to Cornelius Hearn June 9. Following her graduation from Barnard College with the class of Miss Helen Leeds Breaker will be married to Cornelius Hearn the wedding taking place in St.

Paul's Church, Flatbush, Wednesday, June Rev. Dr. Townend Glover Jackson is to officiate at the ceremony which will be followed by a reception at the home of the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. William Dudley Breaker, 570 1st st.

Mr. Hearn, who is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Cornelius Hearn of 496 E. 17th Brooklyn, was graduated from Columbia University and Law School and is at present a member of the New York Stock Exchange.

Miss Gladys J. A. Riker Engaged to Louis S. Hiltz. Mr.

and Mrs. H. A. Riker of 1291 Dean st. have announced the engagement of their daughter, Gladys J.

A. Riker, to Louis S. Hiltz, son of Mrs. C. A.

The engagement was first made known to a few friends a bridge party given by Miss Riker at her home If the old adage "Happy is the bride whom the sun shines on" holds true, there are many joyous! days in store for Mrs. Cornelius Vanderbilt Jr. (Rachel Littleton). As the bride and her husband came down the aisle of St.

Thomas's Church, Manhattan, on Thursday afternoon the sun's rays filtered through the stained glass windows and turned the dark interior of the church into a haze of shifting color. on April 24, those present' being Miss Grace Farrar, Mrs. C. A. Powell, Mrs.

Miss Riker was an active member of the Motor Corps of the National League for Woman's Service during the war and Mr. Hiltz saw 16 months' overseas service on a submarine chaser. Miss Brandt Engaged to Walter D. Stewart. Mr.

and Mrs. Herman J. Brandt, of 1304 Bergen announce the engagement of their daughter, Miss Annette Brandt, to Walter D. Stewart, son of Mr. and Mrs.

Daniel Stewart and a brother of Miss Mildred Stewart. Miss Brandt is a former Adelphi girl. Both she and her fiance have been active in the various school settlement shows and society pageants. Mr. Stewart is a member of the Gamma Eta Kappa fraternity and also the Field Artillery Officers Association.

Miss Schultes to Wed Alvan L. Bearmore Saturday. The wedding of Anna Mabel Schultes and Alvan Lawrence Bearmore will be an event of Saturday evening, taking place at 6 o'clock in Saint Anne's Church on the Heights, the Rev. G. Ashton Oldham officiating.

A reception for the bridal party and immediate family will be held in the Blue Room of the Hotei Bossert, following the ceremony. Miss Schultes, who is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Schultes, of 337 State will have as her only attendant Mrs. William Charles Baumann, matron of honor.

Walter K. Harrington is to act as best man for the bridegroom and Alfred E. Robinson, William Charles Baumann and Lewis C. Bearmore will usher. Mr.

Bearmore is the son of Mr. and Mrs. William A. Bearmore, of East Orange, N. J.

Packer Reunion Held At Biltmore Yesterday. One of the largest and most enthusiastic reunions of Packer graduates in the school's history occurred yesterday afternoon, when several hundred former students of the famous Brooklyn school gathered at the Hotel Biltmore, Manhattan, for a luncheon which was followed by an interesting program. An address by the Rev. Dr. Richard Roberts of the Church of the Pilgrims was the chief feature.

Miss Adele Katz rendered several piano solos. The earliest graduate present was Miss Jennie Walker, 1865. Others who attended were Mrs. L. C.

The dance, to be known as the Spring Dance, and under the same management as very successful Autumn Dance at the Bossert last fall, will directly follow. A reception and formal opening of its new home was planned by Colony House when it met, at 496 Atlantic Thursday afternoon. This reception take place on May 21, and is in charge of Mrs. Fletcher Cook. A benefit also being planned for the latter part of October, and the affair promises to be one of the largest and most interesting held in Brooklyn in some time. Its name has not been decided upon as yet, and a prize is offered for the best suggestion.
