Bob Riley has appointed Hobbie Leonard Sealy to serve as assistant commissioner of the Alabama Department of Conservation and Natural Resources.

Sealy will be responsible for helping guide the agency toward accomplishing its mission to promote the wise stewardship and enjoyment 6f Alabamas natural resources. Hobbie Sealy brings a wealth of experience to state government and I am confident he will serve in an exemplary manner, Riley said. Sealy is a former director of marketing for the United Services Automobile Association (USAA) and served 21 years with the Air Force, retiring with the rank of colonel. Most recently, he worked as a tax accountant for Seivers and Company in Wetumpka. A native of Montgomery, Sealy is a graduate of the University of Alabama and the University of Tennessee.
