Huntsville Emergency Medical Services officials say Johnny Hudson wds pronounced dead at the scene on Sunday afternoon. The Madison County Sheriffs Office says the accident happened behind a residence. They say Hudson was hunting in a tree stand behind a family members home when he fell. Emergency crews, including HEMSIs High Angle Rescue Team, responded to the scene.

INTERGRAPH LAWSUIT SETTLED IN COURT HUNTSVILLE (AP) An eight-year lawsuit between the former Intergraph Corp. and Pennsylvania-based software maker Bentley Systems has been settled. She told an inaugural crowd Monday that for the first time in a long time Alabama will have a governor and lieutenant governor who will be working with each other instead of going at each other. Alabamas governor and lieutenant governor have been from opposite parties since Republican Guy Hunt was elected governor in 1986 and Democrat Jim Folsom Jr. was elected lieutenant governor.
