Michael Kennedy, a 6-9 senior who was somewhat of a disappointment last season, would be a major help if hes playing well this year. What would really help, however. is a healthy John Martens. The 6-8 junior has been plagued by injuries each of the last two season. But when he's healthy, hes a quality player Like San Diego State, USD has to replace one key man -Coach Jim Brovelli.

Brovelli left the school last season after taking the Toreros to the NCAA Playoffs.
