at the county office It may be that you need to add commercial fertilisers Another point to remember is to use the varieties which are recommended by your agricultural college Oklahoma State University The county agents office has leaflets available to anyone wishing a list of recommended varieties The following garden vegetables should be planted anytime after the 15th Swiss chard carrots onions cabbage spinach lettuce radishes turnips peas and irish potatoes We want to encourage county guidetuis to visit our office and get free bulletins on gardening HAVE YOUR SOIL TESTED We want to encourage county farmeis to bring soil samples to the county office now Please wait until time to plant spring ciops before you take a sample of your soil for testing because it will delay your planting most likely When taking a sample keep mind the following points: 1 1) Take fiom 4 to 6 samples in a field mix these together in a clean container and bring about one pint in for testing
