"Valley Forge" is the first production Columbia Pictures TV, which owns the rights to the play, has done jointly with Hallmark. It was taped in 12 days using the three-camera technique. Outdoor location was six days in Canada, primarily because when the company was ready to shoot last March- April, the area around Toronto was the only place that had real snow left. "It would have been fine if it had snowed during the taping to fit the story," said Al J. Simon, creative production manager.
