the sheriffs and court clerk's office a great deal of speculation According to the Interpretation put upon the law by these authorities its application will virtually have the effect of suspending all of the fee deputies of the sheriffs office leaving only the three salaried deputies provided by law as it would seem that sut deputies will only be allowed the earnings of fees to the amount of $50 per quarter The sheriffs office of Muskogee county maintains about a dozen deputies throughout the county who serve all processes and re paid a percentage of the fees provided most of them receiving compensation averaging from $75 to $100 per month War Prohibition Measure Will Be Tested in Court New York March Preliminary action toward testing the constitutionality of the war-time prohibition act was taken In the filing here today of a stockholders suit in the federal court against the James Kverard's breweries The complainant Joseph A Kverard asked the court for an order restraining the
