Larry Meek, Doug Bennett and John Boyles sparked the Cougars to life in the final period. Meek hit the cords for 12 of his 22 points in the final session while Bennett scored six of his eight markers and Boyles was hauling in the rebounds. John Partain fired in a lay-in for the first basket of the game but the Cougars didnt gain the lead again until early in the fourth quarter when Meek poked in a bucket.
