Lunch was served at Kataehe, after which the happy pic- ulcers rowed over to Cocoanut island there to pass a few pleasant hours. A luau and dance at the Wilhelm residence, In honor of Miss Libbie Wil helm of Honolulu, proved to be a festive occasion indeed.

Some 40 or 60 guests were present, and a naUve orchestra furnished music for dancing, after the sumptuous repast. The masquerade ball, which occurred to h'all nn Friday evening last, was one of the most successful society events of tke season. There were 60 maskers in the grand march, and nearly 70 spectators occupied chairs around the room. At 11 o'clock masks were what a surprise! Two gentlemen, who exchanged costumes during the evening, caused their lady friends to look rather perplexed and meditative as their dls- ctttee was removed. There were many pretty costumes, as well as a goodly number of splendid comic characters.

Widemann, was united in marriage to Christian C. Conradt, an employe of the firm of Wm. G. Irwin A the Rt. Rev.

Father Leonore officiating. The Cathedral was most beaujtlfully decorated for the occasion, the centre of alternation being the canopy of cocoanut and other palm leaves under which the ceremony took place. Here it was that the groom and his best man, Mr. Walter D. McBryde, awaited the bridal party.

As the organ music began the party, formed outside, marched slowly in, preceded by the Ushers, Messrs. Lionel Hart and de L. Ward. Behind them came the bridesmaids. Miss Olga Berger and Lila Macfarlane and then the maid of honor.
