His fatbei was born In but has lived in New York until some ton yours ago, when he took up his residence in Denlson, Texas. Young Mr. Manning has made many friends here. He Is urbane, courteous, refined and clean In life. He possesses mucli musical talent and performs on stringed instruments with accuracy, spirit and case.

Though tlie marriage was a surprise to all, the young set of the city determined to surprise the bride lind groom. They did so in a very unexpected way. The thouglitful- ness of tlie young sot in ordering this dinner, and the skill and taste of tlie Ideal Cafe in preparing and settiiiK it, deserve high praise. It was an occasion of great enjoyment.
