Match was off to a perfect start by downing the former Wimbledon finalist 6-1 without a single dedece game. Brown rallied going into the second set. Winning four straight games, Brown seemed to be back in the running during the third set.

But Match squared i 5--5 and took the next two, finishing with a love game and the set. Both alternated in the last set, hut Brown forced a 4-4 deadlock before Match again won two in a row.
