Jack Roberts, At the meeting, which took place here at seven oclock, it was announced that the committee for the picnic, to he given en Sunday, May 81, would meet on next Monday evening at the home of Roberts. As a complete surprise to themselves and to the rest of the students at the Napa Union High School, Miss Mary Jewell and Air. Philip Duffy, both members of the junior class, were admitted to the National Honor Society. This honor was bestowed to them yesterday afternoon at the weekly assembly. Parents and relatives of the two pupils were invited to be present on the occasion. The National Honor Society is opened to a selected few every year, those excelling in leadership, scholarship, character and service.

0T0NKAH COUNCIL MEMBERS TO VISIT OTHER D. OF P. GROUPS Children of the Shurtieff school presented a program yesterday afternoon at the schoolhouse. The affair began at 1:30 with a great many friends and parents in the audience. The whole affair was arranged under the direction of the students teacher.

Simpson, Aiarion Van Following an early meeting Aiinnetonkah Council Thursday evening. a group enthusi.u-tic members motored to Pinole to participate in a reception given by the council in that city for Great Pocahontas Flora Guild. Three hundred and fifty guests-from Vallejo, Crockett, lliehmond, Hayward, Napa and Oakland were present to witness the line welcome the hostess council had prepared to the Great Pocahontas and her accompanying grand officers. Adoption of new members was lie'll and from reports brought here by the Napa members, the degrees were exemplified in an impeccable meeting with the approval of the entire audience. Refreshments were served and a social time enjoyed during the jurse of tiic e.ening.

Amorg tho interesting features of the evening, was the announcement for candidacy for great offices made by a number of the guests present. Mrs. Maud ot Napa, announced her intention to run for great musician at the meeting of the Great Council, which convenes in August. Louise Swartout" of Richmond, present great trustee of the order, announced that she would run again for that office, and First Great Councillor May Merest, who was also present, announced that she would also compete for that office. Other great officers piesent Thursday ecening included Past Great Pocahontasses Rita Bettencourt and Kate 'Wilson; Great AVcnona Isabelle McCluskey of Vallejo, and a number of dis-irict deputies, including Mrs.

The Napans all expressed a most enjojable evening and accepted an invitation to visit Berkeley Council on next Friday evening, at the official visit of Great Pocahontas in that city. B. Spreckels, nationally known society leader and civic worker who has many friends in this city.

The shop is a non-sectarian, non-profit organization, formed for the purpose ot offering supplementary relief to needy California citizens. The shop is not soliciting money, but is asking donations of ail kinds of men's women's and childrens clothing, shoe and hats, furniture, bric-a-brac, household goods and all kinds of articles which are sold at very low cost and the money devoted to the fund. Many interesting and valuable articles have been given to the Salvage Shop, and throngs of sightseers visit the shop weekly from all parts of California to see tho collection of goods as well as the model salvage plant in operation. The shop is said, by civic and charity workers, to bo the fines-t and best organized salvage shop in the United States. Kathleen Kelly Honored at Garden Party Approximately 20 people gathered toy 'tlier yesterday evening to honor Miss Kathleen Kelly, who recently was graduated from the University of California.

Miss Elizabeth Jewell, cousin of the guest 2 honor, was hostess at her home on Seminary street. The affair was a garden party, being held in the charming enclosed garden of the Jewell home. Tho bridge tables were placed on the lawn until dinner was served, when the tables were carried within the house. The party began at four o'clock, when brijge was played unil dinner. After dinner, the guests chatted until quite late.

Martha Coleman Celebrates 6th Birthday Seventeen youngsters were the guests of little Aiartha Coleman yesterday afternoon at a birthday party given for her by her mother, Mrs. Herbert R. Coleman, at the Coleman home on Jefferson street. Aiartha has reached the age of six years, and the party was in honor of the occasion.

A birthday cake adorned with seven tiny candles, (six for the years, and one to grow on!) was the feature of the refreshments which consisted of ice cream and the cake. The table was prettily decorate-l with flowers cut from Airs. Coleman's garden. There were balloons for each child, making the occasion a festive one. Quite a large delegation from the Otonkah Council will attend the affair. The delegates who attended the reception to the Great Pocahontas Flora Guild, gave a report on the event. Plans were made for the float that the council will enter in the Native Sons Fourth of July Parade. A committee has been named to Mrs. H.

Reynolds Hostess at Luncheon Airs, Helen Reynolds entertained 12 of her friends at a bridge luncheon yesterday afternoon. The luncheon took place at Bryants Candy Store, after which the ladies dreve up to Airs.
