DINNER: GOAL Project, a Lancaster County-based international organization working to provide comfort and strength to those living with addiction, will hold a dinner on Friday, April 4, to share the missionary journeys of two local residents.

The evening will start at 6:45 p.m. at the Cameron Estates Carriage House, 1855 Mansion Lane, Mount Joy. The program will provide information and updates on GOALS role in combating the rising rates of alcohol, heroin and other drug abusemisuse and addiction in countries such as Russia, Romania, Tajikistan, Kenya, Tanzania and Ghana and pending outreach training in Uganda. GOAL missionaries will share stories of hope and inspiration. Guests will have the opportunity to find out how they can volunteer as a missionary, support a missionary, help support the projects, as well as how to bring awareness about GOAL opportunities to their home church or organization.

MICROCHIP CLINIC: Furever Home Adoption Center is hosting a low-cost microchip clinic at the East Petersburg Borough Community Center at 6051 Pine Saturday, April 5, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The effort is to help protect the animals of the borough.

Cost is only $15 per chip. No appointment is necessary. All dogs must be leashed, and all cats must be in a carrier. The event will include sale of home-made candy, baked goods and food as well as raffles. All proceeds will benefit Furever Home Adoption Center.

A buffet dinner will begin at 6:30, followed by a presentation by CPYU president and founder Walt Mueller. The program will include updates on CPYU initiatives along with the announcement and launch of a new resource. Some of the highlighted sports items available at the live and silent auction include a signed baseball by New York Yankee Derek Jeter, a signed Green Bay Packer jersey and helmet by Brett Favre, a signed Denver Bronco jersey by Peyton Manning, a signed hockey stick by Philadelphia Flyer Bobby Clarke, a signed Baltimore Oriole jersey by Hall of Famer Jim Palmer, a signed Cincinnati Reds jersey by Pete Rose and a signed baseball by Hall of Famer Mike Schmidt.

Other items available for bidding include four tickets to Disneyworld and two tickets to the One Direction concert in Philadelphia in August. Jewelry, children items, artwork, gift baskets, books and tickets to attractions around central Pennsylvania also will be available. There is no cost to attend the banquet, however reservations are required. There will be an opportunity to support CPYUs ministry. Musical entertainment will be provided by Meg and the Right Sound. The proceeds will go to support the recovery of adults with serious mental illness and ensure that the center wall continue to be a valuable resource for them, and our community. Arch Street Center was founded in 1982 when a concerned group of case managers planned a meeting place for mental health consumers. Admission is $25 which covers music, food and drink. PLAY: The Theater, Dance and Film department of Franklin Marshall College will present Angels in America Part Millennium Approaches on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, April 3, 4 and 5, in Schnader Theater. CONCERT) The Gap Male Chorus will perform at Tel Hai Retirement Community on Sunday, April 13, at 7 p.m. in the Tel Hai chapel on the campus off Beaver Dam Road, east of Route 10. Organized in 1922, the Gap Male Chorus originally was composed of men from different churches in the Gap area of Lancaster County.

Today the chorus includes over 50 active members who represent about 35 churches in four counties.
