Page 6 NAPA SUNDAY JOURNAL' Sunday, December 31, 1950 Helen Reichenberg Plights Troth Today FefetT At Shower Miss Helen Reichenberg, who will change her name to Mrs. Donald Thompson in a three oclock ceremony today in the First Baptit Church, was honored with a pre-nuptial shower Thursday evening at the home of the hostesses, the Misses Barbara and Betty Deese, 5248 St. Helena Highway. Gifts for the honoree were placed under a pink umbrella and flowers were placed throughout the house. Refreshments were served and games played, under the direction of Mrs.

J. Callison. On hand for the shower were Evelyn Woessner, Charlotte Randall, June Fletcher, Robin Arthur, Mary Robinson, Ruth Itob-j inson, Gloria Deese, Betty Deese, Betty Bickford, Barbara Conners, Helen Reichenberg, Helen i Ells, Letia Rasimas, Mrs. Fred Reichenberg. Maudine Carlton, I Bonnie Chidester, June Christian, Betty Deese.

TO WED TODAY Donning the traditional white, Helen will become Dons bride in a double-ring ceremony to be performed by the Rev. John Hadley. Her gown is of brocade marquisette with a bertha collar, fitted bodice and full skirt, and she will wear matching mitts. Holding her waist length veil edged in lace will be a Juliett cap trimmed with pearls. Charlotte Randall will serve the bride as maid of honor, wearing a yellow organdy gown.

Duties of bridesmaid will be performed by Joan Broughton, who will be gowned in lavender organdy. Jack Reichenberg, cousin of the bride, will attend the bridegroom as bestman, and Xeil Smith will usher guests to their places. All friends and relatives of the young couple have been invited to attend the wedding, which will be followed by the reci ption in Knapp Hall. Helen is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs.

and Mrs. Orville Thompson of Arthur. Nebraska. Following their honeymoon, the mwlywfds will journey to Flats, Nebraska, where they will make Itieir home on a ranch. Seri; mati rial was supplied by Ray Orrock. and acts were supervised by Jewel Benedict and Frank Adame, co-directors.

After weeks of preparation. "A Day At Xapa College." com-j k'tc w.th a cast uf seventy and orchestra. was presented at Santa Rosa Junior College and sometime la'er at Vallejo. At e-ach school, the show was received with tumultous applause and shouts for encores. Other colleges in the bay area, having he-ard about the assembly, invited the- group to their respective stages.

"A Day At Xapa College is iust what the title' implies. Opening scenes are morning in a sorority house and a fraternity house. A harem scene with eight lovely co-e ds clad in the latest harem styles is also included. Songs will be supplied by Jewel Benedict. Darlene Brown, Bob Sage.
