Two Comedies, Horror Show Are Opening Here This Week Two comedies and one horror show are scheduled for San Antonio openings during the coming week, joining a host of extended run pictures at other theaters. Good Neighbor Sam, starring Lemmon and Romy Schneider, opens Thursday at TO OPEN AT "Hercules in the Haunted World," starring Reg Park and Christopher Lee, starts Thursday.

Also in the production are Michael Connors, Louis Nye and Robert Q. Lewis. Opening Thursday at the Aztec is a different type comedy show, Ensign Pulver, another takeoff on the U.S. Navy.

Burl Ives, Robert Walker, Walter Matthau, singer Tommy Sands and Millie Perkins have the main roles in film. Scene is a U.S. Navy cargo ship in the South Pacific in 1945, captained by an overbearing Burl Ives, who is despised by the crew. The comical scenes arrive when he falls off the cargo ship and Pulver (Robert Walker) dives in with a life raft and saves him. On the raft, drifting in the sea, the captain becomes delirious and begins to reveal secrets, which Pulver rapidly jots down on paper and eventually uses for blackmail.

A very good production, "Ensign is in color by Panavision, and has an excellent young cast. Ives is superb in his role as the captain, while young Walker gives a memorable performance as the fun-loving Pulver. A "A "A Hercules in the Haunted World will begin at the Texas Theater Thursday, offering viewers some blood curdling scenes in the true horror picture style. Starring in the new release will be Reg Park and Christopher Lee. The show offers little out of the ordinary for viewers but should excite quite a few youngsters who will jam in to see it.
