weeks ago to undergo a major operation and despite his advanced age he rallied after the operation and his condition continued to show mark ed improvement until three weeks ago at which time he suffered a re lapse The veteian peace officer was born in Tennessee seventy one years ago last June where he spent his boyhood days He came we'st and settled at Clarksville Arkansas where he mar ried Crocker and his wife came to the Indian Territory twenty years prior to statehood His wife died several years ago and was buried at Pa'tt Taw cemetery Crocker has been a peace officer here for the past twenty years He was re elected constable of Sallisaw township for the fifth consecutive term last year At one time Crocker made the race for the democratic nomination for sheriff of this county but was defeat ed in the primary He was later ap pointed constable to succeed the latte Henry Johnston uneral services will be held today (riday) at the Paw Paw cemetery and he will be his wife Many
