Murder Suspected In Vermont FLORENCE, Vt. (AP) Stale's Atty. Robert West says I the deaths of a husband and! wife found here Monday after-j noon now appear to be a double, slaying, and not murder and suicide as first thought. The victim? were Thomas Whittemore. 32.

and 'Elizabeth. 30. both of Rutland. They were found in their car on an abandoned road. An autopsy at Burlington Tuesday showed both died multiple gunshot wounds of the head.
