Louis, Mo. She was born June 5, 1922, at Germantown, the daughter of Annie (Imming) and Fred Huene. On Aug. 27, 1941, she married Delmar Deien. Survivors include her husband of Chester; a sister, Laura Dorries of Breese; and a brother, Harold Huene of Trenton.

She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Cornelius, Alfred and Paul Huene; and two sisters, Verena Deien and Lucille Huene. Monsignor Dennis Schaefer will preside at the private service on Thursday at the Evergreen Cemetery, Chester. The results of the survey indicate a sedimentation rate of 680 acre-feet per year for Carlyle Lake since operation was initiated in 1967. One acre foot is one acre, one foot deep. The designed sedimentation rate used for the lake was 746 acre-feet per year. Based on the results, the overall project purposes are not being adversely affected by sedimentation. However, Carlyle Lake is experiencing localized areas of sediment deposition.

Your life, -and the lives of others, may depend on it. Dawn Hunsell Dawn Elizabeth Hunsell, 45, of Smithboro died Wednesday, Dec. 13, 2000, at St. Joseph's Hospital, Breese. She was born at Granite City on July 1, 1955, the daughter of Elaine (Lewis) and John R.

Hunsell. Dawn was a seamstress at Quip Industries. She was a member of First Apostolic Church, Greenville, and First Apostolic Church, Centralia. Survivors include a daughter, Emily (Chris) Eckols of Pierron; two grandchildren, Amber and Zachary of Pierron; her mother and step-father, Bill Hutchinson, of Woodlawn; five brothers, John (Cheryl) Hunsell of Woodlawn, Ted (Becky) Hunsell of Belle Rive, Ben (Cheryl) Hunsell of Pocahontas, Tom Hunsell of Greenville and Jacob (Lorie) Hunsell of Nason; five sisters, Mary Lou Hunsell of Smithboro, Susan (Jerry) Long of Waltonville, Beth (Scott) Snyder of Okawville, Sally McCowen of Bluford and Angela Hutchinson of Woodlawn; and nieces and nephews. Autumn, Krystal, Kyle, Rachel, John, Jason, Amy, Laura, Christopher, Piecos, Bobby, Joe, Thomas, Jesse, Justin, Lucas, Robert, Dylan, Daisy, Devin, Jacob, Bianca, NAthaniel, Hank and Bradley.

She was preceded in death by her father; grandparents, GiGi and John C. Hunsell and Elizabeth and Cecil Revel le; great-grandparents, Jeanette and Ed Brennan; and a niece, Jessica Dawn Hunsell. Visitation was held Friday evening and Saturday mwrning at Frerker Funeral Home, Carlyle. The Rev. George Bankston presided at the II a.m.

service Saturday at the funeral home. Interment was in Duncan Cemetery, Tamaco. Memorials may be made to Hospice. Hazel Lamb Hazel Lamb, 83, of Coulterville died Friday, Dec. 15, 2000, at Saint Louis University Hospital, St.

Louis, Mo. She was born Aug. 3, 1917, at Fisk, the daughter of Nellie (Hand) and George W. Williamson. Hazel was married to Jasper A.

Huffman and he preceded her in death. She then married Hobert Lamb on Jan. 28, 1945, at Reno, and he preceded her in death on Dec. 29, 1980. Survivors include a son, Jasper "Jay" (Vera) Huffman of Kenosha, six grandchildren; five greatgrandchildren; three sisters, Leena Belle (Harry) Brant of St.

Louis, Dorothy (Edward) Hill of Swanwick and Iva (Ed) Ostenberg of Redding, Calif; and a brother, Joe Williamson of Fisk, Mo. She was preceded in death by her parents; both husbands; and a sister, Louise Brannon. Visitation was held Monday evening and Tuesday morning at Hempen Funeral Home, New Baden. The Rev. Keith Owens presided at the funeral Tuesday at the First Baptist Church, New Baden.

Interment was in Lake View Memorial Gardens, Fairview Heights. Lorinda Lebkowitz and Glenda Volk, both of St. Louis, were each charged with felony charges of possession of cannabis in a penal institution on Dec. 18 in Clinton County Circuit Court. According to the Class 3 felony charge, Lebkowitz and Volk possessed marijuana in Clinton County Jail on Dec.

17. The two were each also charged with unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia for allegedly possessing a marijuana pipe and rolling Theft charges were dismissedj.on Dec. 12 against three county men. A charge of theft was dismissed against Joshua Phillips of Centralia. Phillips had been charged with taking a window fan from Clarence Kasmussen on Feb.

17. The case was dismissed because it should have been handled through civil litigation since it involves a lessor and lessee. Retail theft charges were dismissed against Ryan Berry and Clay Mitchell, both of Carlyle, on a motion by the state. The two had been charged with taking soda from CC Food Mart in Carlyle on Oct. 6.

Use the classifieds for fast results! fl'l Fred Pakosta Fred P. Pakosta, 66, of Trenton died Tuesday, Dec. 1 9, 2000, at St. Joseph's Hospital, Breese. He was born Sept.

7,. 1934, to Henrietta Pakosta in Cypress Nicosia, Great Britain, and immigrated to the United States from Vienna, Austria, in 1951. On May 28, 1955, he married Evelyn Huelsman at St. Augustine Church, Breese. The deceased was a veteran of the Korean War, having served in the United States Air Force from 1 952 to 1956.

He was retired and also former owner of TE Communications in Trenton, which he estahlished in 1959, and transferred ownership to IE Communications in 1 983. Fred was a member of St. Mary Parish in Trenton; VFW Post 7983, Trenton; American Legion Post 778, Trenton; Sport Fliers of Clinton County; member and Diamond Badge Holder 1 72 of Soaring Society of America; one of the founders of Silvercreek Glider Port; and former member of the St. Louis Soaring Association. Survivors include his wife of Trenton; two sons, Fred P.

Pakosta Jr. of Quincy and Eric (Karen) Pakosta of Trenton; three daughters, June (Rick) Koentz of Trenton, Suzanne Quitmeyer of O'Fallon and Tina (Jim) Tucholski of Liberty, 10 grandchildren; his mother-in-law, Alice Huelsmann of Breese; and a cousin, Hertha Zalud of Vienna, Austria. He was preceded in death by his father-in-law, August Huelsmann; and two brothers-in-law. Earl Hasenstab and Mel Niebur. Visitation was held Wednesday at St.

Mary Church, Trenton, one hour prior to the service there. Father Jim Dougherty presided at the funeral Mass. Interment will take place at a later date in Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis, Mo. Moss Funeral Home handled the arrangements.

On Oct. 2, 1993, he married Lauri L. Kellermann at St. Dominic Church, Breese. Kurt was an office manager at Financial Control Incorporated in St.

Louis, Mo. He was a member of St. Dominic Church and had been an avid golfer and softball player. Survivors include his wife of Breese; two sons, Grant and Mason Toennies; his parents of Breese; a brother, Keith (Laura) Toennies of Breese; his father-in-law, Kenneth "Butch" Kellermann of Breese; a brother-in-law, Kevin (Gail) Kellermann of Breese; two sisters-in-law, Rene (Charles) Lockenour of Normal and Kelly (Steve) Lake of Breese; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Robert and Sophia Berndsen; paternal grandparents, Joseph and Margaret Toennies; an aunt, Lucille Albers; an uncle, Norman Toennies; and his mother-in-law, Laura Kellermann.

Visitation was held Sunday evening and Monday morning at Hempen Funeral Home in Breese. The Rev. Patrick Peter presided at the 1 1 a.m. funeral Mass on Tuesday at St. Dominic Church.

Interment was in St. Dominic-St. Augustine Cemetery, Breese. Memorials may be made to an education fund for his children. They will be received at Germantown Trust and Savings Bank or the funeral home.

Hazel Nave Hazel A. Nave, 82, of Carlyle died Tuesday, Dec. 19, 2000, at Carlyle Healthcare Center. She was born in Boulder on Oct. 19, 1918, a daughter of Henry and Lizzie Mae (Dieckman) Edwards.

On Dec. 13, 1939, she married Robert Nave at St. Charles, and he preceded her in death on April 15, 1973. Hazel was a lifelong resident of this area, where she worked as a homemaker. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, was a volunteer at the Carlyle Healthcare Center, and was a 50-year member of the Modern Woodsmen of America.

Survivors include a daughter, Kathryn (Dennis) Stevenson of Breese; a son, Vernon Nave of Danville; and two grandsons, Jeff (Nancy) Nave of Titusville, and Eric (Erin) Nave of Pawnee. In addition to her parents and her husband, Hazel was preceded in death by eight brothers, Leonard, Leo, Clarence, Howard, Lloyd, Abe, Murzey and William Edwards; and a sister, Myrtle Apple. Friends may call at Zieren-Day Funeral Home in Carlyle on Wednesday evening and from 8 a.m. until the service on Thursday. The Rev.

Steve. Goodin will conduct the 10:30 a.m. service Thursday at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Nichols Section of Carlyle Cemetery. The family suggests memorials to the American Diabetes Association or to the Alzheimer's Association and they will be received at the funeral home.
