COURIER NEWS THURSDAY, OCTOBER 22, 1936 THE ROLL OF HONOR The Roosevelt Administration has befriended Mississippi County in hours of need and her citizens must not fail to show their appreciation now. Recalling conditions 'at the lime of Mr. Roosevelt's inauguration and knowing lliai most of the fight on imn today is because of justice done by his administration lo llic fanner and business num. most of them consider the roster of subscribers lo the Democratic Campaign Fund an honor roll upon which men- names must appear. Many have responded liberally i 0 the call Cor funds to fight this battle which they say is more theirs than the President's, but it has been impossible to see all of yon and personally solicit a contribution. In most communities there are public spirited citizens who arc devoting their time lo aid in raising this money and -if yon wish to show your ap- preciation and have your name on this honor roll, make your contribution to some of the workers or send it direct to one of us. Should drouth, flood or other misfortune visit us again and our streets and highways fill with destitute men and women. Will Landon help? Will Roosevelt have reason to feel kindly toward us?
