FOR Tlie owners of a quarry of this valuable and beautiful building material, situate ia the immediate vicinity of Perl Richmond, upon the navigable walars contiguous lo the Bay of New York, and distant but aboat eight miles from that city, offer the same for sale, on the most favorable terms lo purchasers.

The quarry lies directly between that of the Staten Island Granite Company and Port Richmond being the very northern extremity oflhai Granite range, distant about 80 rods from tide water, to which the land of the owners extends, with ample room for the conotruction o( wharves, or docks, whore vessels of any size may approach and lie in safety at all seasons of the year. The stone is identical with that of the Staten Island Granite Company, which has been ibonmahly examinad by the most scientific and distingimlied geologists, mineralogists and chem isls, to the superior excellence and ample abundance ef which, the certificates of J. W. Feaiherstonhaueh, James R. Chilton and Professor James Renwick of Columbia College, now published by that company, appended to their adveriiseireni in the New York Times and Commercial lulelligencer, areconclusive testimony! These certificates show that the granite is of the variety called Sienite, the most pure, perfect and indestructible of building I maleri.als; not subject lo decomposition or destruction by the greatest extremes of heat and cold, of frost, fire and water; that I it contains bo iron or accidental minerals to render it liable to discoloration that it yields to llie wedge with regnlarity, and splits with facility, presenting a surface of the greatest beauty and uniformity of color, resembling thatof the Quincy granite, differing only in being of a rather darker shade; that it is distinctly stratified in layers nearly vertical, which will facilitate its workinz, while many of the strata are thick enough to yield archileciural columns of the largest dimensions.

From the wharf to the quarry, the land rises by a gentle and gradual ascent to an elevation of about 40 or fifty feel, where the quarry is opened, at a distance of about rods from the waier. Millions of tons may be quarried without he necessity of artificial drainage, and by constructing a rat! road of about 80 rods down the gentle inclined nlane wliieh the surface the ground naturally affords, any amount may be transponed to the wharf merely by the power of gravitation. The facility and economy of transportation from thence lo the city of New York, I is obvious. The farm upon which this quarry is opened, contains almut SO acres of good l.in<l, beaniiiully situated at the foot of Newark Bay and being held by several owners, they have concluded to offer it for sale, rather than engaze in working the quarry them -selves. But in case no satisfactory application should be made for the purchase they would he wiliine to neeotiate with a responsible company for working it, on the opening of the spring.

Application fsr either purpo'-e may be made personally cr by letter, to the undersieneu, at Poughkeepsie, Dutfbens County, I N. Y. Dated January 13, 1810. JA.MES! GRANT. A copy of these certificates is with the publishers of this paper, to which reference may be had.

This great principle of in sickness ia beginning to be appreciated, ft is much msrs convenient to take dose of half a dozen Pills, and be always well, than to send for a Doctor and be bled, hysiered and the certainty that if you are not killed, you will be sure le have months of miscraNe wcaknesj.and the only one who isbenef.iied i.s your Doctor. Look at the difference beiweon the appearance of those two been treated by your regular prac hew p.ale and debilitated he is.

He says, most inveterate case of liver but the mfwt energetic remedies saved Energetic measures! i. e. Mercury and Bleeding ruined his const iiiilion. belter say Se, to save life, you must half (wisen with that comforter of the teeth and positively make a man miserable tkt sad remainder of his existence; this is called curing.

Shocking folly Let M.s look at your man who has taken Pills for Liver the firm elastic tread of conscious countenance is clear and sciene, his eye is fullaKd sparkling with the feeliog of new life and animation he has buen confined a few days to his bed, but he Uied nothing but the irne Brandreth Pills, and soon rose without any injury being sustained by his constitution. Instead of being months in a weak aUle, he wiU be stronger after he has entirely recovered the attack because his blood anti fluids hare become purified, and having pursed away the old and impure Quids the solids are thereby renovated, anti he is not borne down by useless particles, but has renewed his life and body both. This principle of purging with Pills, removes no thing but liie useless and decayed fiem the morbid and cerrnpi luimore of the blotnl; those humors which impede the the liver when they settle upon that organ, and which, when they settle the muscles, (trodiice rheumatism; or u()on the nerves, or ii()on the itings, produce coosumptMui: or the intestines, CPstiveness; or the lining ofthe blood vessels apoplexy and p.ara!ysis; and all the tr-iln of disorders so uielanchuly to tltesuffererand all who behold them. Yes, purging humors from tlie tody is the true cure for all these complairits, and every other form of disea.se; this is no mere assertion, it is a demon-'itraWc truth, and each day it is extendingitself: far and wide it is becoming known, and more and more apfireciaied. Tbecurehy purging may more depend upon the laws which produce sweetness or parity than may be generally imagined Whatever tends to slafn.ite will prcn'luce sickness, because it tends to putrefaction; therefore, the necessity of consiani exercise is seen.

When constant cannot be used from any cause, the occasional u.sc of opeiiing McJicioe is ah-iolutsly required 'I'hus the conduits of the blood, the Fountain of Life, are kept free from impurities which would (ireveni its steady current ministering health Thus, morbid husmrs are prevented frem becoming mixeti with it.
