I 1 ff MM FWTH I PAGE BIX NAPA DAILY REGISTER. NAFX. CALIF. TUESDAY, APRIli 17, 1931, 25 Years Ago Today Legal and Official Advertisements and Publications Imolans Meet Gillespies Nine Saturday; Lineup for Vallejo Team Given Today NOTICE OF EXECUTRIXS SALE With the opening game won, Manager Spike Shannon hopes to continue in the victory column when the Napa State Hospital nine faces Johnny Gillespies team from Vallejo this Saturday afternoon on the hospital diamond. Robertson looked good on the hilltop for the Imolans Sunday, but Manager Shannon will probably pitch "Lefty Gregory against the Vallejoans.

DAGLIA IN LINEUP According to word received1 here today from Johnny Gillespie, the invaders from Vallejo will be out for nothing but a win over the Hospital nine. Gillespie has Andy Daglia, Napa pastlmer, to don the mask and protector for the invaders. Daglia is a hard hitter and is expected to add strength to the invaders lineup. The Vallejoans lineup is as follows: Hamilton, third base. Hewitt, shortstop.

Gillespie, first base. Eoylan, left field. Daglia, catcher. Alstrom, right field. Bodie, center field.

Boyle, second base. Moore, pitcher. Kimball, pitcher. Louie Moore, speed-ball artist, will start on the mound, with Kimball, curve-ball artist, ready to relieve him at a minute's notice. Young Ping Bodie, son of the former major and Coast League star, will be seen in the outfield for the Vallejoans.

I ADDRESS SYSTEM I A public address system has been installed at the Hospital grounds and all attendants and patients who are unable to witness the contests may hear the play-by-play report over the newly installed public address system. The reports of the games can be heard as far as the back yards, according to reports. Shannon is undecided on his starting lineup for Saturday's game. However, York, Rowe, Dykes, Town-1 send, Traverso, Parrish, Sandkulla and Gregory will probably be in the starting lineup. The Hospital faces a bay region 'team a week from Sunday on the local grounds.

Many testi- LaRue Expects Hard Tilt on Diamond Friday Afternoon The strength of Napa High School baseball team will be known after Friday's contest with the Analy I Tigers, said Coach Bob LaRue to-Iday. The Indians, on paper, have the makings of a good team, however, LaRue is not predicting what the team will do until he sees them in action against a first class prep team. Last season the Purple and Gold nine defeated the Sebastopol team, 3-2, in perhaps the best game on the local schedule. Babe" Martini was on the mound last year and will probably face the Analyites again this season.

With "Muck Franco at shortstop and Forrest Dunkle at first base, LaRue has two of the classiest infielders in the league. Franco saves the Indian hurlers many ball games by his great catches of balls labeled for base hits. Dunkle, at first, takes care of his position with ease and saves the infielders many errors. Martini Is expected to start on the hilltop for the Indians with Ratchke behind the plate. The invaders will probably star-Chub Blank, outstanding athlete at Analy High School, on the mound against Martini.

(U.R) Great Britain adheres to her policy of refusing to pay her war debt to the United States pending negotiations for revision or cancellation, Neville Chamberlain, Chancellor of the Exchequer, revealed in presenting the 1934-1935 budget to the House of Commons today.

Despite a treasury surplus at the end of the fiscal year on April 1 of $160,567,940 and a prospective surplus of revenue over expenses in the current budget of $4,099,400, Chamberlain made no provision in the budget for war debt payments nor for reparations receipts. He did the same thing in the preceding two years. Nevertheless, Britain has been making small token payments to Washington to avoid being openly in default, and it was generally assumed such a payment would be made this year, outside of the budget.
