If you file your Withholding Statement as a return, Collector will send your refund without'any 'further action on your part.

If you file a Form 1040, you must be sure and check the refund box under Item 10, Page 1, arid the Collector will send you' a refund check without any further action by you. Except in the case of erroneous or complicated returns, the majority of refunds should be in the hands of taxpayers by the Fourth of July. Taxpayers are urged to wait a reasonable time before writing to their Collectors regarding delayed refunds, inasmuch as- such correspondence tends to slow- up the refund You can expedite your refund by making sure that your return is filled out accurately, legibly and completely, and properly signed.
