1 Local Deaths Rudolph Grieshaber Rudolph (Rudy) 75, Marysville, Kane, formerly of -St. Joseph, died Monday morning at his home in Marysville. Mr. Grieshaber -was a native of St. Joseph and a graduate of Central High School in 1915.

He was a veteran of World War I. He was the chief clerk to the trainmaster for the Union Pacific Railroad. He was a member of the Methodist Church in Marysville, the Marysville Masonic Lodge No. and the American Legion and VFW. His wife, Mrs.

Evelyn Grieshaber, died Dec. 29, 1965. Survivors include one ter, Mrs. Ann Hill, Hardy, one son, Carl Grieshaber, Metairie, La; one step-son, Barry Truesdell, Kansas City, two sisters, Mrs. Catherine Kleran and Mrs.

Helen Morgan, both of St. Joseph; 17 grandchildren, and greatgrandchildren. Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Methodist Church in Marysville. Burial will be in the Marysville cemThe body is at the Kinsley mortuary, Marysville.

George Services Services for Mrs. Bessie (Lisle) George, 78, 1809 South 24th street, will be- at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at the HeatonBowman chapel, 319 South 10th street. Mr. J.D.

Dryer will officiate. Burial will be in Moxley Cemetery, near Easton, Mo. Mrs. George was a native of Easton and spent most of her life there. She.

was associated with Jehovah's Witnesses for a number of years. She died Sunday night at a local hospital. Additional survivors include several nieces and nephews. Keller Services Services for Mrs. Sarah Croy Keller, 88, 523 Shady Avenue, will be at 3 p.m.

Wednesday at the Meierhoffer-Fleeman chapel. Dr. William G. Shoop will officiate. Burial will be in Mount Auburn Cemetery.

Mrs. Keller was a Buchanan County native. She made her home with her daughter, Mrs. Elizabeth June Younger. She was the mother of the late St.

Joseph chief of police, J. Croy Keller, who died in August, 1952. Mrs. Keller died Monday morning at a local hospital. Powell Rites Services for Mrs.

Rosie K. Powell, 69, 2527 South 18th street, will be 1:30 p.m. today at the Meier man chapel. The Rev. Don Bliss will officiate.

Burial will be in Memorial Park etery. Mrs. Powell was a lifelong resident of St. Joseph. She was a member of the South Park United Methodist Church, where she taught Sunday school for several years.

She died Sunday at a local hospital. Williams Rites Services for Ira Williams 68, 2226 Eugene Field Avenue, will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Chapel. Dr. George R.

Kern will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Mr. Williams was a native of Maitland but came to St. Joseph in '1947, He was the owner and operator of the Meur Pharmacy, 302 Middleton street.

He was a member of the First United Methodist Church. He died unexpectedly Monday morning at a local hospital. Purdy Services Services- for Rev. W. Edward Purdy, 82, retired minister of the Mitchell Park Christian Church, will be at 10:30 Wednesday at the MeierhofferFleeman chapel.

The Rev. Robert G. Biggs will officiate. Burial will be in West Cemetery Panora, Iowa. The Rev.

Mr. Purdy was born Jan. 9, 1890, near Des Moines, Iowa. Before he re: tired he had served as pastor of the Mitchell Park Christian Church. for years.

He retired from the ministry in 1967 after 55 years with the Christian churches. He died Monday morning at a local convalescent center where he -had resided the past four years. Zultowski Rites Services for Mrs. Mary Zultowski, 77, 2501, Edmond street, will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Sts.

Peter and Paul Catholic Church. The Rev. James H. Mallen will officiate. Burial will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery.

The body is at the Sidenfaden mortuary. Mrs. Zultowski was a lifelong resident of St. Joseph. She was the widow of Ignatius Zultowski who died in 1957.

LOUIS, Mo. (UPI) Parents having problems with their preschool children will soon be able to call a government employe into the home for help. The federal government is starting a program called Home Start, which will send "home visitors" into homes in 15 cities to help parents educate their children. The program is being explained and organized and to some extent formulated here this week in a national conference of some 300 persons. The program is considered a logical extension of the Head Start program, which tries to teach preschoolers at centers outside the home.

Andy Doesn't Want to Rust LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP). Andrew Hastings, breakfast may be his secret -for longevity. He observed his 100th birthday Monday by downing two fried eggs, rolls with peanut, butter spread on them, a steamy serving of sauerkraut and a can of beer. And he finished it off with a shot of booze.

Hastings, an Ohio native who spent most of his life working as a machinist, has a simple explanation for his choice of food and drink: "Water will rust your insides." "He moved in with us in 1945," said Hasting's niece, Eunice Ollis. "He said that's what he wanted every morning, and that's what he's had. Composer Grofe Dies SANTA MONICA, Calif. (AP) Ferde Grofe, whose orchestral suites painted a vivid audio picture of America, died Monday at the age of 80. Grofe died at his home here. He recently suffered a series of strokes. Grofe's "Grand Canyon Suite," which he composed in 1929, was his best known work but many, of his other compositions also are standards of musical Americana.
