Mr. and Mrs. Fred Habeck, Florence and Orville Habeck and Henry Rodenberg motored to Jud, N. Sunday where they visited Mr. and Mrs.

Nick Rodenberg. Henry Rodenberg stayed at Jud after visiting at the Habeck home for two weeks. The Misses Clara Habeck and Kathryn Hughes were visitors of Miss Fern McNeill Sunday. Mr. and Mrs.

Mrs. George Manly returned home Wednesday afternoon from Grand Forks where she attended the convention of the postmasters and rural carriers which was held there Monday and Tuesday. Miss Madge Runey was a shopper in Bismarck and Mandan Wednesday. Mr. and Mrs.

S. T. Parke of Sterling were Friday evening visitors at the George Manly home. Mr. and Mrs.

B. F. Lawyer of Bismarck and sister, Mrs. Thompson of Alberta, Canada, visited at the Richard Kickul home Thursday. Mrs.

Thompson, and Mrs. Lawyer are the daughters of Mr. and Mrs. Hooper, old time residents of Baldwin who moved to Canada a number of years ago. Reuben Barsthmass of Roseglen visited here with his brother-in-law and sister, Mr.

and Mrs. Alvin Nordstrom Wednesday. Mrs. Fred Kant and daughter, Marion spent Saturday in Bismarck with Mrs. brother-in-law and sister, Mr.

and Mrs. Frank Stitzer. Miss Judith Barthsmass has returned to her home at Roseglen after spending several weeks with local relatives. The McKenzie baseball team defeated the River Rats at the local diamond, the score being 5 to 15. Next Sunday the married men will play against the single men, both being local teams.

Helmuth Schiermeister, Steve Koppy, and brother Frank called at the Godfrey Grenz home Wednesday evening. A great number of people of this vicinity aided in putting out the big prairie fire in Gayton Wednesday evening, half the night was spent in checking the fire which had covered over half a section of pasture and hay land. The fire was caused by lightning which struck one of Gustav hay stacks. Edward Serr, Fred Albrecht and Math Koppy were callers in Linton from this neighborhood Wednesday evening. Miss Anne Chesrown left for Chicago Saturday where she will attend the Century of Progress exposition this week.
