G.IUGO Ki.lioT, Philadelphia, And Tuknf.u ugh E. at the iV. Carolina Bookstore, Raleigh, 'HAVE PUBLISHED FIVE VOLUMES OF Condensed Chancery llejjorts of England. MH3 Work is held in the highest estimttion by a'd the distinguished, of the Amenean Bar, nd no Law Library can De considered complete without it. Chancellor Kent, in speaking of the great va.

lue of this Work to all the American Har, observes It has been judiciously edited, and is a work that was much wanted. It was, indeed, indispensable to the circulation in this country of Knglish Equity. Law, (the best code in the. world of ethic tl jtistly and-tfuly applied) for who could buy or become willing to aiie through alt the voluminous pa.ees of English Chancery when one half of the number is troublesome and useless with us." Cltancellof Williamson, oI Nevy-Je'se), in noticing this Work, says I have examined with srreat your edition of Condensed: English Chancery Reports." The work appears to he ably executed, and entirety to supersede tlie necessity of the very heavy expense to gentlemen ot the profession of the law in the United States, of purchasing the original books of Ra ports under that conviction 1 hatre become a i-ubcriber to the work." Gentlemen of the llench and Bar of the United States have long and justly complained of the number and expense of law books, and particularly of the heavy cost of English Chancery Reports. The present is an effort to reduce the number of volumes, and to lessen the expense of those works at least three-fourths.

(TjThe work is handsomely bound in 'calf, and will be sold at the low price of f5 per volume. IN consecjuence of the unusual inclemency of the past winter, til progress of the building designed to serve as a Dormitory for the pupils in this Institution, has been retarded much beyond the expectations of the Executive Committee, utjder whose direction it' was commenced in December last And, as the material of this structure is stone, the process of working in hich is necessarily and greatly dependant on the weather, there is now no hope of its completion by the me heretofore specified for commencing the School. This circumstance, together with the fficuliy likely to be experienced procuring in time from the North certain articles of furniture indispensable to the establishment, and the recently expressed opinion of the Rector, that, without the accommodations to be afforded by the new building, h- would be unable to carry into successful operation the system adopted, has constrained the committee, however reluctantly, to pos pone for a few weeks, tlie time for opening the School. The Public, therefore, are respecjifu Iv inform ed, that the JBPISCOIAEi SI IOOI. will be opened, on the first of A ril as before advertised- but) oj MnsiT, the 2sd pat of Jcxk sf.it at which time it may be confide tly relied on that every thing will be in readiness.
