USE ALBERT'S LIBERALIZED BUDGET -UP TO 1 YEAR TO PAY Youth In Lewd Movies Blasted NEW YORK (AP) Sen.

Estes Kefauver (D-Tenn) said today that teen-agers are being used nowadays in making lewd motion pictures, and to peddle filthy material to other children. Kefauver heads a judiciary subcommittee investigating juvenile delinquency, which opened a threeday session here. "Not only do children see movies made by the pornographers," declared the senator, "but we have examples of the obvious use of children ranging from 14 to 18 years of age as participants in the making of pornographic films. "Youngsters are used a great deal to peddle the filth to other children." Kefauver asserted there was "widespread distribution of this insidious filth the traffic in pornography has been growing by hundreds of thousands of dollars annually." He coupled this with what he termed an almost unbelievable rapidity in the growth of sex crimes. Kefauver said the federal government must halt the flow into this country of foreign-produced material, as well as all transported by any means between states.

"On the state level," continuS ed, "there is desperate need for improved state statutes law enforcement and the public interest in this problem still tends to be spasmodic and insufficient." The subcommittee's probe will deal with such other items as illustrated playing cards, phonograph records, books and other materials of salacious nature.
