COUPLES CLUB OF PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH RECEIVES RECOGNITION The Couples club of Fredonia 'resbyterian church revived na- ional recognition in a recent is- ue of "Young Adult Times," a uarterly magazine issued by the oard of Christian education of the ''resbyterian church, USA. The winter issue carried a sec- ion called "News from the Front" several types of groups or young adults were outlined as models for other churches. The item about the local organization emphasized the fact that it was founded as a result of action by young adult members of the board of deacons, who sensed their responsibility beyond the specific- work of the board. It also declared that' the club was the way young couples were assimilated into'the life of the church and community.

FREDONIA POLICE CHIEF IS PRAISED FATHERS IN CHARGE OF P.T.A. MEETING ON MONDAY EVENING A Father's the Fredonia- Parents-Teachers association was held Monday evening in Fredouia High school auditorium. A nominating committee was appointed to select a slate of candidates for office for the coming year. The committee includes Mrs William McPhee, Mrs. Stanley Miller, and George Civilette.

Plans were made for the card party to be held April -5. The chairmen- are: General, Mrs. Esther Hayden, Mrs. Stanley Miller, and Mrs. Howard Young: tickets, Mrs.

Miller; refreshments, Mrs. Bruce Ho watt; serving, George Mason; publicity, Mrs. Carl Johnson; prizes, Mrs. Cosmo Albano. The association was entertained by a I barber shop 'quartet, the Four Flats, and a German band under the direction of William Hayden.

It was announced that William Stasch of the high school faculty will present a musical program during the next meeting. Thje guest speaker at that time will be Dr. E. L. Schwabe.
