DRIVE TO LEWISTON WITH HEAVY TRUCK Kissel Kar Makes Run From Spokane on Third and High Gears. for Car company. the Hodgins-Fosdick Mo- Brown Continues Jaunt Started in PortlandCarries Camp Outfit. With his little Ford car heavily loaded down with a trunk and a camping outfit, M. H. Brown Spokane Friday morning for Missoula, to finish the last lap of his trip from Portland.

Mr. Brown started from Portland 8. month ago and arrived in Spokane the first of the week. The route was by way of The Dalles, Walla Walla and Ritzville to Spokane. The route to Missoula will be through Fourth of July canyon and Wallace.

BREAK RECORD TO SEE INJURED SON Fast Midnight Run to Colrille Made by Spokane People in Overland. To get to the bedside of their son Orrin, who was shot in the head by his brother, Mr. and Mrs. 0. H.

Prentice made a record automobile run from Spokane to Colville Thursday night, covering the 90 miles in four hours and 40 minutes. The lad was shot accidentlly late in the afternoon at the home of his uncle, 20 miles from Colville, and it was not until late Thursday evening that the parents received word. There being no trains at that hour, Mr. Prentice employed Overland car and the party, with Joe Gravelle at the wheel, left Spokane at 10 o'clock at night. At 2:40 o'clock in the morning Colville was reached.

The injured boy still is in serious condition. Gravelle returned Friday morning with the car. MAYOR WILL HELP PICK CITY'S FLAG city council Friday morning appointed Mayor Hindley to represent it on the commission which is in charge of the selection of a flag for Spokane. The appointment was made with the understanding that the council's action did not bind it to officially adopt the flag which the commission may choose and to get ideas on which the commision is now holdIng a competition.
