With firm dates; yet to be set, it would be futile to try and scan the list at this time, but here is the regular and irregular. programming for the base viewing planned for ABC's evenings-at-home: Sept. 18 at 7 p.m. marks the premiere of The Npw Temperatures Rising Show starring Paul Lynde as Dr. Mercy, a non-practicing member of the medical profession, dedicated to making a profit for his family-owned hospital in Washington, D.C.

Cleavon Little, returns to star in the hospital comedy series as the ghetto-trained "dedicated resident," Dr." No-land, whose wry humor cuts through hospital red tape. The humor of the program evolves from Dr. Mercy's business approach to medicine conflicting with his staff's concern with the healing of patients. Sudie Bond portrays 70-year-old bed-ridden hospital owner and resident Martha Mercy. Barbara Cason plays the head of the hospital's kookie accounting and admitting department.

Jeff Morrow is the hospital's glamor doctor, Jennifer Darling plays a registered nurse. SATURDAY times oppose, each other in court and sometimes at home but the love and regard they have for one another is riever affected by the opposite points- of view.r.V' Howard won the Theatr World Award for his portrayal in the stageversion of "1776." His Tony and New York Drama Critics Award came for his role on Broadway in "Child's Play." Miss Danner's Tony was given for her Broadway performance in "Butterflies Are Free," Dena Dietrich, Edward Winter, Ron Rifkin and Norman Bartold are featured in Adam's Rib. ABC Suspense Movie is the prestigious new series of original motion pictures made for ABC-TV and presenting suspense drama in its broadcast spectrum. The Saturday evening Series" premieres Sept. 29.

at 7:30 p.m. with "Runaway," a tension-filled drama starring Ben Johnson, Ben Murphy, Darleen Carr, Vera Miles, Ed Nelson and Martin Milner. the story of a group of passengers, returning from a skiing trip, to discover that the train in which they are riding is a runaway. Railroad officials and passengers struggle to stop the train before disaster. Other original dramas will embrace suspense westerns, personal tragedy stories, biographies, the occult, science fiction and a remake of a classic suspense film.

The finest acting, directing, writing and producing talent available will be utilized. Griff stars Lome Greene in the title role and Ben Murphy as his associate in a one-hour contemporary detective drama series which will be scheduled Saturday evenings at 9, Griff is a former police captain with 30 years' experience, who walked out over a matter of principle. He has a monumental reputation, built on his previous' police work and his current stature as a top-flight investigator. With contacts on the highest level, he handles only important, cases, usually involving homicide or some aspect of it. Susan Damante co-stars as their secretary.

Griff is essentially a mystery show with dramas involving influential people. David Victor, executive producer for Marcus Wel-by, M.D., also handles the reins on Griff. James Franciscus stars in a modern-day western, Doc Elliot. The series premieres on ABCWednesday, Oct. 10, at 9 p.m., and will air once a month.

Lee Majors stars in The Six Million Dollar Man, premiering Saturday, Oct. 20,. at 7:30 p.m. on an irregular schedule. Majors, who costars in Owen Marshall, Counselor at Law, plays a former test pilot who becomes an unusual secret agent.

The Six Million Dollar Man is a superspy drama evolving from an incident in which a test pilot crashes up an experimental space craft. Toma, with Tony Mu-sante in the title role and premiering Thursday, Oct. 4, at 7 p.m., is the dramatic series based on the life and career of 39-year-old David Toma, a Newark, N.J., detective who uses disguises to penetrate the, underworld. "We are doing this series because Toma is more exciting, original and authentic than any detective we could have dreamed up," says executive producer Roy Huggins.

Huggins first learned of David Toma two years ago when someone sent him a news magazine article about the policeman's amazing career. A top writer was sent to Newark to watch Toma in action and returned to report that the cop was indeed a larger-than-life guy. Toma later took leave from his job to meet Huggins in Hollywood. "Finding the right actor to play Toma was a major project," says Huggins. "Since Toma himself is an almost, instinctive method 'actor, we realized it would require the skills of an ex-: ceptional actor to portray him.

Tony Musante. was the man for the part." Susan Strasberg plays Toma's wife; Simon Oakland portrays the police in-. speclor. Adam's Rib, romantic comedy, bows in on Friday, at 8:30 p.m., Sept. 14, and stars Tony Award winners Ken Howard and Blythe Danner, who portrayed husband and wife (the Thomas Jeffersons) in the film musical "1776." Howard and Miss Danner play a successful young couple practicing attorneys.

He's an assistant D.A. on the rise and she's a full partner in a respected law office. Based on the Spencer Tracy-Katherine Hepburn motion picture, the series takes a humorous look at i serious problems but never belittles the subjects.
