The same could be said of a fruit tree. However, if you Ones chief aim in life should be to will judge me by what I can produce do gftod.

Many were forced to abandon all of the time, and am reudc their farms.

All of this could have consumption at any time. I am been avoided, had the farmer known a green, winter and sum met, me. Any farmer, who has me spread and, if you do not wish to feed me this a few acres of his land, will nev- year, let me alone and feed me next er be to desert his farm on year. 1 will keep on making more account of lad: of feed. It does not feed just the same.

Cn- Cattle, hogs and chickens like my der any circumstances I ill produce feed better than anything hat grow: of feed stuff every year- I never on the farm, and it does me lots of fail. One planting is all I need in good to tickle their palates. I hope 25 years. During the first two years that within the next few years I will be given the opportunity to state the appetites of countless farm animals in Texas.

1 hate to brag on myself so much, but, you know, a fellow that, has a poor opinion of himself, can hardly expect others to consider him great. 1 am very proud of my flowers; they are beautiful and sweet. The bees have found this out, and, when 1 am in bloom, myriads of them visit me daily to fill their little bellies with my nectar. My flower develops into a fruit that makes first class jelly, preserves and sweet pickles. My leaves, when candied properly, would make candied citron ashamed of itself.

No one need fear to eat me. 1 was raised right and am of cleanly habits. 1 am as sound as a dollar and as clean the dew drop on a rose. You will not find a rotten spot on me, and 1 never stink like rotten potatoes, onions or cabbage. I live in the air, ami largely from the air.

1 live above the sand and mire, and am proud of it. My vitality is wonderful, it would be hard to find my superior in this respect. I can withstand drouths as scarcely any other plant can. 1 have stood green and rigid through years of drouth, seeing every other plant, except a few Spanish Daggers, perish. The fact that 1 can withstand drouths so well, renders me especially fit for a lift saver in the way of feed stuff.

If farmers knew me, they could readily see the need of planting me. As 1 intimated before, my chief aim in itfe is to render service. Service the watchword of the times. 1 am willing and glad to render service to the utmost, and only plead that farmers become acquainted with me, and give me an opportunity of doing so. Salvation is free it can be had for the asking; yet many folks pass it up just the same.

It is so with nu 1 am free, arid can bo hud with very tittle effort. If 1 were an evangelist, 1 could go preaching my own gospel; but, being only a mere plant, I can fmpress you only bv your actual knowledge of me. So, in conclusion I wish to make an humble, but earnest, appeal that you strive to know me better. Become intimately acquainted with me, and you will be the bonefi- i eiary. Yours for more feed.
