Durborrow, of 1018 Eighteenth avenue, made a narrow escape from having his head blown off by an irate resident along the Dry Gap road, named Burket. The story is to the effect that on Tuesday two young sons of Mr. Durborrow went up the Dry Gap and were shooting with a Flobert rifle, and while so amusing themselves the man Burket appeared on the scene and took the gun from them. On returning home the lads told what had happened, and yesterday Mr. Durborrow went to Bur-ket's house to learn the cause of Bur-ket's action and to get the gun.

He was admitted to the house and he had no sooner mentioned his mission than Burket ordered him out and picked up a shotgun standing in the corner to see that he got out. When Durborrow got about seventy feet from the house Burket let go with both barrels. Fortunately for Mr. Durborrow the aim was bad and none of the shot took effect, though they rained about him. Accident Which Caused a Very Painful Injury.
